Using Recoat
These terms apply to Recoat’s exterior paint-preview website and limited free beta. By using Recoat, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not upload photos or use the service. Contact Recoat at growyourventures@gmail.com with questions.
Recoat helps you explore colors on a photograph, save and compare looks, and download previews. It is a visualization tool, not a professional painting, architectural or construction service.
The free beta
This beta allows two photo-upload preparations per person. Prepared examples don’t use a slot. Once preparation starts, the attempt uses a slot even if processing fails or the image isn’t a house. Features, availability and limits may change. Bugs, incomplete masks, processing delays and interruptions can occur; we do not promise continuous access or permanent project storage.
Feedback is optional. We may invite you to share your experience after meaningful use. You can dismiss the feedback request after its displayed countdown. A public review, positive rating or permission to publish feedback is not required. The current beta does not require payment; any future paid offer would need separate pricing and terms before purchase.
Your photos and permissions
Only upload photos you own or have permission to use and send for processing. You are responsible for respecting the privacy and rights of people whose information appears in an image. Do not upload unlawful content or sensitive documents.
You retain your rights in your original photos. You give Recoat and its service providers permission to store, process and modify your uploads as needed to prepare previews, deliver the service and support your project. This is not permission to publish your photo for marketing.
Example images are provided to try the tool. Some demonstrations are illustrative or AI-generated. Access to an example does not grant rights to redistribute someone else’s photograph.
Preview limitations
AI preparation can miss surfaces, include the wrong material or produce inaccurate boundaries. Lighting, camera settings, screens, texture, sheen, existing paint and the real paint formula all affect appearance. Paint names and codes help you identify candidates; they are not a guarantee of a color match, suitability or availability.
Always test real paint samples on the actual surface before buying paint or painting. Check material compatibility, preparation, coating specifications and any required permissions with the manufacturer or a qualified professional. Recoat previews are not measurements, quotations, inspections or guarantees of a finished result.
Responsible use
Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls or upload limits, access another person’s private project, submit malicious files, misuse feedback forms, or use Recoat to violate others’ rights. We may restrict access when reasonably needed to protect users, address misuse or maintain the beta.
Feedback and privacy
Recoat may use your feedback privately to improve and support the product. Public quotation of written feedback requires your separate, optional permission. That permission is anonymous and does not include your photos or identity.
Our Privacy Policy describes uploads, AI processing, service providers, device storage, retention and privacy requests.
Saved looks and downloads
Guest sessions and browser storage help restore projects, but data can expire or be lost when site data is cleared or a device changes. Cloud-prepared uploaded houses and their shared links are available for 90 days from upload; other previews may expire sooner. Download images you want to keep. Downloading a preview does not make its paint colors accurate or remove third-party rights in the underlying photo.
Availability and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided as available, without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, error-free results or fitness for a particular painting project. You are responsible for decisions to purchase materials or carry out work based on a preview.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms do not waive your mandatory consumer rights.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes and show the updated date on this page. Material changes will be communicated where required. You can stop using Recoat at any time.
